Important step for ‘Black Sea Gas’

Another critical step is being taken for the delivery of Black Sea Gas to land. The 65-ton wellhead valve, reaching Filyos Port, will be lowered into the depths of the Black Sea by the Yavuz Drilling ship. The ship will anchor from Filyos Port tomorrow for critical mission.

Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, will send Yavuz off from Filyos port.

The valve, which will be taken to the discovery area, will be installed in the well drilled in the depths of the Black Sea. The valve will transmit the gas to be extracted from the wellhead to the production distribution chamber.

Yavuz Drilling Ship was anchored in Filyos Port for maintenance and renovation works for a while. After the works, the ship will be launched with the wellhead valve and will be used for new researches if needed.
